Some sketching I did on my train journey from Cheltenham to Birmingham. Lady Godiva looks like she may have fallen face first off that horse a few times...
A pattern, drawn in grey pen, inspired from the feather arrangement and beak texture/pattern of a pelican I photographed in Birdland, Bourton-on-the-Water.
A biro sketch from a photo of my view during a fixture between Coventry City and Bristol City. This is one of my favourite places to be, amongst fans who share a collective interest. (Coventry also won 3-2 which is always nice)
A pen sketch of a small seating area outside the Library of Birmingham. The area was fairly busy with people making use of the seating. The planting was fairly scarce with young maidenhair trees with yellow/green leaves. I thought the design was pleasant and I think the autumnal yellow colour of the trees complements the gold on the front face of the library. However, I believe more ground planting would improve the site further along with a different material for the paths between planting beds. This is because the ground has been kicked up where people have been sat on the wooden benches.
